When pigeons are at a race, pigeon fanciers probably feel a bit restless. "How are they doing, what’s happening with them, and are they performing well"?
All these are the usual questions pigeon fanciers ask themselves during the races — but there’s some great news: at the AviRings Derby PRO, they don’t have to ask themselves this, because they already have all the answers.
If you’ve participated in one of the one-loft races before, you already know that the organisers usually provide you with some information about your pigeons: a photo here and there, race information, and results — and that’s about it.
At the AviRings Derby, things are different: participants can monitor their pigeons via live stream and always keep track of how they’re doing.

Why Is 24/7 Monitoring So Important?
We strongly believe in creating fair, equal conditions for everyone, and we want to be as transparent about it as possible.
This is why we wanted to create a training and racing environment that enables all participants to monitor what goes on in the loft.
We believe that transparency at the highest level is a prerequisite for fair competition, which is why we decided to take things a step further and provide participants with insight into the competition on a whole new level.
How Are We Doing It?
Our loft at the AviRings Derby is equipped with many cameras; each camera covers two entrances, and some additional cameras outside the loft with views from different perspectives, all offering a live stream directly from the loft.
This truly innovative approach enables participants to check on the pigeons at any time, keeping things more transparent and interesting than in any other one-loft race in history.
The cameras placed inside the loft are primarily focused on the aviary and the entrance area where the antennas are positioned, giving the fanciers a chance to see their pigeons live as they return from the race.
Individual Pigeon Arrival Videos
Apart from the live video stream, we are also capturing short individual pigeon arrival videos. This is a feature that allows pigeon fanciers to relive each arrival up close.
The system carefully monitors every arrival, enabling the cameras to capture the exact moment a pigeon crosses the antenna. This way, every pigeon is captured in an arrival video.
Videos are captured live and instantly integrated into the race results page on your custom-made derby website, making them immediately available to participants.
Even if you are not able to make time to watch the whole live stream, you can still see your individual pigeon’s arrival and will be kept in the loop about your pigeons’ achievements.
See the Loft Manager at Work
Thanks to the live stream from the loft, participants are able to see the loft manager in action at all times, observing his work and monitoring him while he carefully handles the pigeons.
This enables participants to make sure the pigeons are doing well and feeling comfortable in their new home.
Live streaming of the basketing process before the races is also possible.
